Everyone has their own reason for hitting the gym each day. Some of us use this time as a type of therapy to wash away the day’s or even life’s events while others see it as a place to grow. Regardless of what this time means to you, and there are many more reasons for going to the gym other than the two I just mentioned, you should be asking yourself one thing; am I taking my training seriously enough to actually see improvements? What I’m referring to here is just how productive are you being at accomplishing whatever it is you’re there for? Can you actually see some positive results occurring or are you simply spinning your wheels in vain? To ensure that you are actually being serious about your efforts, here is a checklist of items to be aware of while you workout to improve your productivity in the gym.
This aspect of going to the gym is most likely the reason people hardly ever notice any significant changes to their physiques and overall health in general despite going to the gym every day. While being social is certainly a part of being a member at a gym, it shouldn’t be the main reason you’re there. When it’s time to get serious and go to work, all you should be thinking about is the workout and how much you have in front of you that needs getting done. That’s it. Rest times between sets need to be established which don’t include a five-minute conversation with a friend if, you are serious about what you’re doing.
Here’s another uneventful situation that occurs quite often and that’s thinking about what you should be doing versus going in and getting the pre-planned job done. If you’re always wondering what you should do next or delaying things because you’re not quite sure if you want to go through the pain or not, then you are a victim of procrastination and all seriousness about what you’re doing goes right out the window. You need to have a clear idea of what needs to get done as soon as you hit that gym floor so that no time is wasted and no energy is used up on pointless movement.
It’s no Joke
Often times I will see people joking around and having a good laugh right up to the point where it’s time to go to work. I’m talking about right before a heavy set of training, people will mess around with each other and be talking and having a great time which is totally fine with me if that’s your thing. But what I want to say about that and it’s more cautionary than anything else, is that your level of seriousness and focus at that exact time could potentially lead you to serious injury and consequences for not being completely ready for the heavy stuff so just keep that in mind.
How do You Train?
If you’re really serious about making significant progress in the gym and utilizing your time as effectively and as efficiently as possible then you need to be using a program designed for such goals. The Max OT training system is exactly what you’re looking for in this case as there’s no way possible you can make your way through the plan without taking things seriously. There are certain milestones that you have to reach with each week that passes, such as more weight or more reps than the previous week, as you make your way through the program and something of that nature will never occur if you’re not focused and determined to achieve that.
All Supplements are not Created Equally
Now that you’ve established yourself as a serious lifter, it’s time to shift your attention to being a serious consumer as well. You can’t just expect that the supplements you find at your local shopping center are going to provide you with the benefits that a serious trainer like yourself is going to need to keep this ride going, now can you? Of course not. That’s why you find the best of the best and stick with it to the end. AST Sports Science is the best of the best and once you start using our VP2 Whey Isolate, Micronized Creatine Monohydrate, and GL3 l-glutamine, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. You’ll see firsthand just how serious we take things here with respect to providing you with only the best products for the best results.
Be serious when it’s time to be serious and then let the rest of your day play out by reading the situation, that’s all. Your training should not be taken lightly no matter what your reason is for being there. If it’s to feel better, then be serious about working hard at feeling better. If it’s to grow insane amounts of muscle mass, then make sure you’re doing everything you should be doing to make that happen too. Remember, it’s all fun and games until someone loses some muscle. Then it’s serious!
